A Beautiful Life

Today I want to take a moment to remember a life, a BEAUTIFUL little life, that was shortened WAY too soon. I never got to meet her but know she must have been much like her mama Damie, who is gorgeous and sweet and the best mom ever.  I knew Damie in college and always loved her.  She is one of those people that you can't help but love!!  :)

(I have been wanting to write this post for some time now, but I couldn't bring myself to.  It seems so close to home since I have little girl babies too, so I could hardly even talk about it.  I finally made myself write it.  And I just couldn't bring myself to write another blog post until I wrote this one, so that's one of the reasons I have been MIA lately)

Ryann Hiscock died on May 29, 2011 and was taken away SO quickly that I can't even imagine the shock that her parents must be experiencing right now.  She woke up last Saturday night with flu-like symptoms and by 5:00 am that next morning was gone.  I can't even imagine how awful that would be to lose your beautiful baby in such a short time.

They found out later that she had had a rare bowel disorder and they had been lucky that it hadn't caused problems sooner.  So there was nothing anyone could have done to prevent it.  I'm so glad they know this though, because parents always tend to wonder what they could have done differently even if they couldn't have.  What a tragic story!

I can't even begin to describe how strong the parents are.  They have been AMAZING through this tragedy and their love for God shines through the tears and pain that they are experiencing at this time.  I just pray that God will give them extra strength to make it through.  I pray for them all of the time.  Please remember them in your prayers too.  They need as much support as they can get.  Can you even imagine losing your babies at this age?  Yeah, me neither.

I thank God for every moment I get with my babies.  I have been appreciating those moments even more after I heard about Ryann.  Make sure to always treasure your loved ones as no one of us knows when they could be taken away!

Amidst all of this sadness there shines a light filled with hope and courage for the family of Ryann!  Jared and Damie, some day you will get to see your Ryann again.  Jesus will bring her to you and you will get to raise her in Heaven.  What a blessed hope we have in the resurrection!  I just love these verses...

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. (Rev. 21:4)

He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken it. (Isa. 25:8)

Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.(1 Cor. 15:52-57)

Ryann, we will see you again little beauty!!  I can't even imagine how awesome that day will be.  I know I want to be there when Ryann and her mama and daddy see each other again.

Someone has set up a memorial fund for Ryann's family if you would like to help with their hospital and funeral expenses to show your support for them in this difficult time.  HERE is the link to the FB page.

Damie and Jared, God bless you and give you strength to make it through.  Please know that we are all here for you however you need us to help.  We love you!

Here's a song I would like to share with you

Just remember when you are all alone and crying Jesus is still there with you.  We don't always understand all of the reasons for everything in this life but we will in the next life!

Rest in Peace sweet little Ryann.  You are loved by a lot of people.  We will see you again very soon!  And I believe Jesus Himself will bring to to your mama and daddy to hold for eternity!

Will keep them in my prayers. As a photographer for www.nowilaymedowntosleep.org I know these losses and they are NEVER easy or understandable, it is so comforting as a believer to know they are wih Jesus and part of God's plan.
So sorry for their loss.

Thank you for linking to the page for Ryann. I appreciate your support, and that of all those who have contributed so far. We have over $2,300 now in the ChipIn fund alone, and more in a local bank account.
