Friday Fun

Yay for Friday!  And for fun!  Yesterday we got to go to a country musical and on a camping trip (combined of course).  It was so much fun.

We stopped at this cool ice cream shop...

 And this weekend we are going on another weekend camping trip which will involve going to the zoo, Mall of America, and a Twins game (that one for hubby!).  I love mini vacations (except for the packing part) so I can't wait!

I also found some fun projects while browsing pinterest and wanted to share of course!

I would love to make one of these for my girls.

Fun Stuff

This week has been CRAZY busy.  It seems like we were doing something non-stop every day.  Ever have days/weeks like that?  :)

On Monday my good friend Melissa and I brought our kids to the local college campus and took pictures of them.  (Melissa's husband is Dave's first cousin.  It's fun to have family/friends that fit in both categories.)  And we both have girls so that makes it even more enjoyable.  Though I'm no pro, Melissa asked me to take pictures of her Natalie who just turned a year old.  So this was technically my very first unofficial photo shoot, ha!  And boy was I nervous! 

And wow was it hard to take pictures of someone else's baby.  She definitely didn't
want to stop for more than a second at a time.  LOL
(I will have to learn some sneaky tricks for next time.)
I DID get a few cute shots though...yay!

Share the Fun Friday

This week was one of the most fun-filled weeks of our summer so far.  We spent it in Montana, my home state, with my mom and dad.  Ally and Whitney had TONS of fun with Grandpa and Grandma Johnson.  (The only frustrating part of the trip was the fact that I forgot to bring my battery charger for my camera.  Ugh!! I still can't believe it!)

Anyways, here are a few of the fun pictures I was able to take before the camera went out on me...LOL  We went up in the mountains and had a FUN picnic in the woods.  It had just rained and then the sun came out just in time for our picnic!  It was perfect.  Just look at this GORGEOUS country.  (Have I ever mentioned how much I LOVE and MISS Montana?)

And after this my camera battery went out.  But we STILL had a ton of fun with our picnic and can't WAIT to go back soon.  East or West, Home is BEST.  What a fun week we had!

I'm SO happy Bec has this party!! It's SO nice to focus on the FUN during my week. It definitely keeps my attitude positive and I love that. And now I'm going to share that fun with all of you.

I am one Happy Camper! Can you guess why?

Yep, we got our new camper!!  SO much FUN!!!  All of us are SO excited.  So excited that we all spent the first night in it.  Yeah, all FOUR of us in the queen bed!  And, besides for being a little crowded, we had a BLAST!  The soft breeze was blowing through the windows, the birds were singing, and I can't really explain how that night air smelled.  Those of you who have camped know what I mean.  It seems like no matter how sore a back can be by morning, camping is always worth it.  :)  Here's some pictures of our new "baby"!

I still can't believe such a beauty belongs to us.  And we are all looking forward to heading to Montana in a week or so.  Lots of camping adventures will hopefully be part of the trip. :)

Going along with our new camping fun, I wanted to share some cool camping stuff I found on pinterest this week.

First of all, I would LOVE to be camping here right now...

 

And I'm trying to decide which of these campers I want to model mine after.  

(the decor that is) I know I love the turquoise one, but I may add 

a bit of the red in there too...{big grin}
