Valentine Decor {after glow}

Since I never had a chance to share my Valentine decor and two fun projects that I made recently, I thought I'd share them with you now.

I had fun making a chalk banner as well as some homemade clay hearts to hang on my ladder.

I'm actually sad to see Valentine's Day go this year.  We had a lot of fun!

Hope you enjoy.

Hope you had a fantastic day!

Valentine's Gifts for Your MAN

Have you ever been stumped as to what to give your man for Valentine's Day?

I know I sure have!  Sometimes Valentine's Day seems more like a girly holiday to most of us.

But I've always thought that since it's a day for love, my man should get a gift just like I do.

So I came up with a list of ideas of fun gifts to give men.  Hope it helps you out!

1.  Tickets to a sporting event.  Almost any man would love it!

2.  A box of homemade goodies JUST for HIM.  No one else can eat them.

3.  Anything RED.  Doesn't matter if it's a miniature Case Combine, if its red, it's probably a fitting gift for Valentine's Day!

4.  A ticket for a whole night spent with you...candlelit dinner, bubble bath {together}, movie, goodies, the sky's the limit!

5.  Gift Card.  That way he can choose what he wants.  Food always works with my hubby!

6.  Let him choose his gift!  All of the way!

7.  Lingerie...a new set just for him!  What guy wouldn't love it?

8.  Something that goes with his favorite hobby...this one will change depending on your hubby.  Mine is into running right now...so he would love anything to do with that!

9.  A cool magazine subscription of your choice.

10.  Make a cool book documenting your love story...photos and words...and read it together on Valentine's Day.

Hope you have a lovely heart day!  And that you have a super easy time picking a manly gift for your love!

Striped Heart Picture

Just wanted to share a fun project I did not that long ago for Valentine's Day.

{I'm sure you've seen a few of these around Pinterest and blogland, but this is just my version}

I love the stripes especially since they look so cool but were so easy to make!

I just painted a square board the gray color, then put some masking tape on and painted over that with turquoise paint.  Then even before the paint was all of the way dry, I took off the tape.

And there they were, the coolest stripes ever!

Then I stenciled a heart on the middle with red paint and eventually glued some red buttons on it.

To finish everything off I distressed the picture a bit to make it look vintage.

Here it is.

(I apologize, the pics aren't the best, but you can see it.  My house is so dark!)

Cute Centerpiece

Just wanted to show you my fun centerpiece I made.  It's kind of a mix between Valentine's Day and winter decor.  And kinda fun.  You can find my inspiration at Little Lucy Lu, thanks Bec!!  {You are always my inspiration!!}

{I also had fun making a Valentine Ladder if you'd like to see it here}

Awhile back I went to the antique store and came across a case of these darling vintage coca cola bottles.  I bought the whole case and just LOVE those little buggers!!  I really like how they look in the centerpiece.

It's really simple.  I just used some of those pretty red party straws, stuck in some holly, and tied around the bottles with turquoise and red baker's twine.  (Which I absolutely LOVE and use for everything by the way!)

Hope your Valentine's Day is filled with LOVE, KINDNESS, and lots of FUN.

Valentine Ladder

Done...just in the nick of time!!

I have been working on this project for FOREVER, and finally finished it.  Yay!!!!!

Since I just got a Silhouette Cameo for Christmas, I thought it was about time to use it.  And of course, learning how takes some time!  So far, I have made a few boxes and hearts and one banner with it.  {And a whole ton of experiments that I won't show here!! HA!}

I am by NO means an expert yet, but at least I'm having fun!

Back at Christmas time, I had so much fun making an Advent Ladder.  And I thought it would be fun to update it for Valentine's Day.

I used my new favorite color combo, turquoise/red/gray.  {grin}

I painted the ladder a gorgeous Westcott Navy {dark gray} and hung some fun hearts/ornaments from it with some different colored baker's twine.

Ally and I made the red hearts out of a salt dough ornament recipe.  Then we painted them red and hung 'em up!

I also made some pretty rosettes out of turquoise polka dot paper.  I just LOVE 'em!!

And I really like the final results.  This ladder may have to stay for awhile even past Valentine's Day.  hehe
{Pardon ALL of the pictures, I just couldn't help myself!}

Don't ya love it?  I sure do and hope you enjoyed looking at it.  Have a lovely day!
