I'm going to let you in on a little secret...shh. I'm really afraid to say this because I will be held responsible for my words.
Oh no...here goes!
I am going to TRY to write one blog post every day for the month of February.
Can't believe I just wrote that.
In case you haven't figured this out yet, I am HORRIBLE at being consistent on my blog, so I decided that for just ONE month, I would see if I could come up with some sort of inspiration for every day.
We'll see how that goes! Not even sure if I can do it, but I am going to at least try.
Yesterday to start myself out, I wrote 25 Date Ideas for you and your hubby. That post was pretty fun to write.
And today I want to write a post about my hubby, Dave. And just why I fell in love with him.
Here he is.
Yep, way hot if you ask me! At least I think so. And here's my list of some reasons I absolutely fell head over heels for him. And reasons I still do every day!
1. He's hot. I think we already established that one!
2. He's absolutely hilarious! I love his sense of humor.
3. He has a REALLY short attention span when it comes to being angry. He forgets he's mad and that is SO nice.
4. He's a really hard worker. And a great provider for our family!
5. He is romantic even though he's as tough as guys get!
6. He is a great spiritual leader in our family. That one is really important to me.
7. He tells me I'm beautiful at the most hilarious times...when I'm not, but my does that feel good!
8. He gets along really well with my family. And that means a lot to me.
9. He has a huge heart and is always willing to help people out. Even if it means sacrificing his own time.
10. He is adventurous and enjoys exploring new possibilities.
11. He still gets that mischievous look even though we've been married for awhile now. And it usually sends me into heart flutters.
12. He's absolutely in love with me and that makes him so attractive!
Why do YOU love YOUR hubby? Have you thought of any reasons lately? Sometimes it helps to write them down and share them. Especially during "love month"!
I would love to hear!!

25 Fun Date Ideas for {You and Hubby}
It's February!! And officially what I like to call "love month".
And time to plan some exciting dates with your sweetheart. If you are a mom like me these "dates" are few and far between, now that you've acquired a few little munchkins.
It's really important that you DO still find time to spend with hubby. And it's fun once in awhile to just get away from the everyday chaos of life with kiddos. Anyone else need a break sometimes?
{I am guilty as can be for not taking time to "date" my husband anymore. I always feel bad for leaving the kids and the house. Not sure why, must be a "mom" thing.}
But from my own experience, I feel that dating your hubby is good for your health, and your kids will survive without you for a few hours.
I came up with a list of some fun dates you can share with your husband this month, even if you don't have that much time to spare.
So here's my list, a challenge to me as well as to all of my readers.
1. Breakfast in Bed. Arrange to have breakfast in bed...share your favorite brekky in your own comfortable bed. And make sure the kiddos are still between the sheets so you can whisper sweet nothings in each others ears.
2. Go bowling. Just the two of you. And make sure you beat him. LOL
3. Go for a restaurant date. But this time, get dinner first, then go get dessert afterwards at a different spot.
4. Set up a game night with another couple you like to spend time with. No kids allowed.
5. Go do something active together. Get sweaty together. Doing whatever sweaty thing you enjoy most. Together.
6. Go to the zoo. It's warm if you live in cold weather and there's a lot of fun creatures to laugh at and enjoy.
7. Take a picnic lunch in your car together and just stop somewhere beautiful and eat it together. Wherever you want to.
8. Eat one entire cheesecake together. Take as much time as you like. And DO NOT look at the calories. Look into each others eyes.
9. Watch a fun daredevil movie {of skiing or mountain climbing} together. Cuddle under your favorite blanket.
10. Set a blanket out on your floor and read your favorite love story together. Pretend you are free and dating again.
11. Go to a local ice cream shop and order 10 different kinds of ice cream to share. Tell each other which kinds you like and how they remind you of each other.
12. Stay at home and cook homemade pizza together. All of the way from start to finish. It will taste so much better when you sit down to eat.
13. Watch your favorite movie together cuddling under the blankets and eating popcorn.
14. Attend a concert together.
15. Go to a local skating rink and enjoy skating in each others arms.
16. Set up a camping spot in your living room. Sleep there for the night and have some good old fashioned "newly married" fun!
17. Go shopping just to look and have fun! Enjoy looking at things you would love to have together.
18. Go laser tagging. Enjoy shooting each other!
19. Go volunteer at a soup kitchen together. Enjoy giving to someone else while you are having fun with each other.
20. Go look at the stars with a telescope. Name a star after your love.
21. Get out your favorite CDs and dance to them.
22. Plan a scavenger hunt through your house to tell your hubby how much you love him. Leave clues everywhere and have the hunt end in your bedroom. *wink*
23. Go get your picture taken together.
24. Go skiing or rollerblading.
25. Plan a random night where you take turns deciding the next place to go. Let it be wild!
Hope your love month is one filled with excitement for you and your spouse.
Enjoy!

{Sweethearts} Birch Centerpiece
I wanted to capture the rustic country look of initials carved into the tree for my Valentine's centerpiece this year.
All I did was take some birch logs and carve (write) fun love words and initials into them. Then I tied twine around the tops and added some paper hearts and mini clothespins to spice them up a bit.
I really like the result.
Hope you do too!

Trendy Tuesday #21
Welcome and glad you came by for Trendy Tuesday. Hope you are all enjoying winter wherever you are.
I am WAY too ready for spring already. We have been having so many below zero days lately. In fact this week it's supposed to get to -20 F.
I guess being cooped up should get the creative juices going, but I've been kinda low on those lately. Thank you for providing some inspiration with your fun projects and recipes though!
I just had to feature this yummy strawberry cream pie this week. Every time I look at it, my mouth can't help but water! This would be an AWESOME treat for a Valentine's Day meal!

See You On the Other Side {Dan & Aimee}
This post is a tribute to some very beautiful people that our family just lost last night. Dave's cousin and his wife died tragically in a car accident, leaving behind their very adorable two and a half year old girl.
We are still in shock. I can't believe they are gone. It just doesn't seem real. What a huge loss. We just saw them at Christmas time and were looking forward to many more fun times together.
Dan and Aimee, you will forever be sorely missed by all of us and everyone who knew you.
Dan: I remember the first time I met you. I didn't know what to think of you...you were so outspoken and crazy that I have to admit I was a bit scared of you at first. But as I got to know you better, I realized that behind all of that crazy personality, I saw a tender heart that cared more about people than you liked to admit. You were full of life and personality, and you always spoke your opinion, even if it didn't make you popular. You didn't care what people thought of you. You just wanted to live life with all you had, and you did. Thank you for all of the fun times we spent with you. I'm so glad we got to see you at Christmas. Little did we know that would be the last time. We will always miss the fun times we could have had with you. There never seems to be enough time with those you love.
Aimee: You were always kind and sweet, and fun to spend time with. I was so happy when you had Lillian so we could enjoy raising our girls at the same time. We had lots of fun times during Christmas in Kansas playing games and talking about mom stuff. I don't think I ever saw you angry or upset. You were always one of the most gentle and patient people I've known. I can't believe you are already gone. We will miss you more than words can say. I am looking forward to Heaven where I will be able to sit down with you again and chat.
Both of you: I hate to say goodbye, goodbyes are really never good...but I am looking forward to seeing you on the other side. Then we won't ever have to worry about saying goodbye again. RIP until then. We love you both and will always miss you more than words can say.
Lillian: Precious sweet little girl. I am so sorry you lost your Mommy and Daddy so soon, WAY too soon. Please always remember that they loved you more than anything. You will see them again soon, when Jesus comes.
Until then, Dan and Aimee, we love you and can't wait to see you again. Please let it be VERY soon.

Word of the Year {Renewal}
I love it when people choose a word of the year. I read about it for the first time in one of my magazines. And I vowed that I was going to have my very own word of the year too.
Some choose their word randomly, some put words in a hat, I decided to CHOOSE my word because it is not only fitting for my position in life, but it is something I need desperately this year more than ever before.
My word of the year for 2013 is Renewal.
I need it for sure.
In some ways I have had such a hard year struggling with my TMJ and when you don't feel well, it brings complications into all areas of life.
Some think that my jaw issue has something to do with my allergies which have been at an all time high this year.
I hate to even write it down, fearing that speaking of it will make things worse.
But this year I need to face it, and try everything I can to heal and regenerate.
Not exactly sure how I will go about it, but I am going to try my hardest.
Renewal.
I have lots of things I want to renew; my relationships, my trust in God, my health, my energy, my love, I could count to a million on things I would love to renew.
In fact, this is such a great time to experience renewal, for after all, isn't that what the New Year is all about?
Freshness, newness, a brand new start to everything.
Oh how refreshing that sounds.
Renewal. What does renewal mean? I like to know EXACTLY what my word means, so I looked it up in the trusty dictionary.
And here's the dictionary definition of my word.
re·new
(r
-n
, -ny
) KEY
VERB:
re·newed, re·new·ing, re·news
VERB:
tr.
To make new or as if new again; restore: renewed the antique chair.
To take up again; resume: renew an old friendship; renewed the argument.
To repeat so as to reaffirm: renew a promise.
To regain or restore the physical or mental vigor of; revive: I renewed my spirits in the country air.
To arrange for the extension of: renew a contract; renew a magazine subscription.
To arrange to extend the loan of: renewed the library books before they were overdue.
To replenish: renewed the water in the humidifier.
To bring into being again; reestablish.
VERB:
intr.
To become new again.
To start over.
And that's it.
Ahhhhh!! Refreshing to read it.
And, really, I don't have much to add. Pretty much explains my year's goal completely.
Oh how I need a complete renewal in my life.
Now I realize that I will have to work to experience renewal...it doesn't just happen by accident.
But I know that with God's help I can experience renewal like I have never felt before.
I can't wait.
Do YOU have a word of the year? Anyone else want to join me in choosing a word for YOUR year?
I put a linky underneath my post if you would like to write a word of the year post and share it here. I will keep the linky open for a week.
Happy New Year and hope you all can experience renewal this year!!
These are my two resolutions for the year...if I can do these, I have accomplished everything I ever set out to do.
