{Sweethearts} Birch Centerpiece

I wanted to capture the rustic country look of initials carved into the tree for my Valentine's centerpiece this year.

All I did was take some birch logs and carve (write) fun love words and initials into them.  Then I tied twine around the tops and added some paper hearts and mini clothespins to spice them up a bit.

I really like the result.

Hope you do too!

Love is in the air!  Do you feel it?

These are really pretty! Very cute idea. These would make awesome candle holders too, if the logs were large enough to drill a hole large enough to add a glass votive candle holder. Thanks for sharing.

These are really beautiful! I so wish we had more birch trees around my neighbourhood so I could make these! Check out my newest creation http://westcoastleslie.blogspot.ca/2013/01/diy-photo-board.html
