And I love projects that include re-purposing something vintage. I used an old shutter that I painted and distressed to place under my centerpiece. It's so much fun.
I also have a recent love for anything galvanized, like the buckets I used. They look so old fashioned and fun.
I added some lace paper hearts to the buckets tied with my favorite turquoise twine. And then I made a cute little spring banner to finish everything off.
The banner is painted with turquoise chalk paint {Martha Stewart}. To make the shapes I used cookie cutters as stencil guides and wrote with colored chalk pens. Then I outlined the shapes with white chalk to make them look more finished.
Then I sanded/distressed the edges and rubbed them with distress ink. LOVE how everything turned out.
Now my house looks like spring!!
