So in honor of spring, and to have a little fun with "MUD", here's the recipe we tried today. Hope you enjoy it!
Start by crushing up a package of cream filled oreo cookies. I put them in a bag and smashed them with a rolling pin. When they were done they looked something like this...
Then whip together some chocolate and vanilla pudding...I ended up NOT using the vanilla because I made WAY too much!
(Just follow the directions on the back of the package to make the pudding.)
Then mix together one package of cream cheese (use the 8 oz. one), 2 T. margarine, and 1 cup of sugar. Use an electric mixer and beat it till very smooth.
Now take the pudding mixture and blend in one container of whipped topping.
Then take the pudding/whipped topping mixture and blend it with the
cream cheese mixture...till smooth
Using a new flower pot, put alternating layers of the cookie mixture and the pudding mixture until full. Finish with a layer of cookie crumbs for your dirt.
Add gummy worms to the top of your "soil" to make your dirt look like the real thing!
You can also add plastic flowers to the pots to make them look fun and springy!!
There you go!! Dirt pudding with worms and all.
SO much fun!!! This is a GREAT treat to use for a spring party!!

Oh my gosh! My girls are going to be thrilled. This is their favorite dessert and we get it at Mimi's cafe every time we go. So glad you posted this! Thanks for linking to Fancy Friday, too.
I've done this before and loved it...kids love it too!!! Looks very yummy!
I love making dirt pudding! I have made it in 9x13 cake pan to create "farm ground" and topped it with John Deere farm machinery.
That looks so cute! We're not pudding people though. I consider that after surgery food. It's a long story. I'm a new follower from Fancy Friday blog hop. http://www.grandmasguidetolife.blogspot.com
