Fall {Acorn} Centerpiece

I absolutely ADORE acorns.  Always have every since I was a little girl.

I also love mason jars of all shapes and sizes.  {And anything vintage.}

So I decided to incorporate all of them into my fall centerpiece this year.
And here's what I came up with.

{Inspiration from here (aka BBF Bec!) and here}

I love it because it's simple, yet slightly elegant.

To make:

1.  Fill mason jars {got these fancy ones on amazon, just look up canning jars} with real acorns, plastic pumpkins, large plastic acorns, pinecones, and a little glam-I used small rhinestones sprinkled throughout, though you can't really see them in the pics.

2.  Insert pick your plum chalk signs into fall colored, vintage paper straws and put them into the jars.  Write your choice of Thanksgiving words on them.

3.  Tie jute twine around the jars for a vintage effect.

(Just so you know, I tried for HOURS to get perfect pics, but the lighting in my dining room is HORRIBLE, so they are what they are.   I think I need a white table to offset the dark.  HUGE SIGH...)

Then, I made some cute little thank you buckets to go on the edges of the centerpiece.
They are small buckets filled with index cards and pencils
for family members to write down what they are thankful for.
Each day at meal times we are going to write down one thing we are thankful
for, every day till Thanksgiving.
Then at Thanksgiving dinner we will read them all out loud before we eat.
Just a fun way to remember all of the blessings
we have enjoyed this past year.

Here they are, very simple but fun.

And finally, these are some fun fall favor bags I made to go on
the holiday plate settings.  I just filled them with the same items
I filled the jars with and fastened them with a vintage
clothespin.  AND I wrote each family member's name on them.

 Hope your Thanksgiving is filled with love and thankfulness
to the God Who has given us everything we could ever ask for.
