Snow Globes {DIY}

I'm sure all of you have already seen the cute little snow globes that have been appearing all over blog land recently.  I fell in LOVE with them first glimpse I caught of them and HAD to try my hand at making some.

So, while I'm sure I'm way behind the times {as always}, here is my attempt at making my very own snow globes.

I put some glitter in the bottom of some glass jars along with some pretty sparkling ornaments that I glued to the tops (since it is eventually turned upside down).  Some ornaments I left free so that they would float to the top.
I got a little a LOT carried away with the glitter in my turquoise one, but it still looks pretty!
I put plastic cranberry in the red one, but I didn't even have to glue it.  It was big enough to stay by itself.

Then I put water in them turned them upside down.

I love 'em!  Did any of you try your hand at making snow globes
this holiday season?

So cute! I wanted to make some snow globes this year but I haven't even finished decorating! And let's not talk about shopping, ha! Question: you just filled them with water? I've read about glycerin but I like yours with the water. :)
